Marinated Fennel and Pear Salad

The fresh lime juice and mustard add a nice tang to this moist and flaky grilled salmon. I came up with this marinade after tasting something similar at a friend's house and it is now one of our favorite ways to do fish. You may also use other firm fish steaks instead of salmon; halibut, tuna and swordfish all work well.

Key Lime Pie Slice

This is an easy side dish that we can't seem to get enough of once the grill starts firing in the summer. We use one large metal baking dish just for cabbage, that way none of the others get ruined on the grill.

The magic in the simple egg salad is a splash of steak sauce.

Here's Irish soda bread the old school way, with just flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and buttermilk. It's not baked, it's cooked on a griddle. Serve with butter and jam, or fry it up crisp in bacon drippings.

Prosciutto and asparagus pair deliciously with poached eggs and a sprinkling of lemon.
